Fall 2017
What a glorious day! Every child did a fantastic job of being an explorer, adjusting to new circumstances and listening to rules for safety. Story of the Day: We met our 5-day friends on the cement patio for music with Lauren and Marit. We walked into the forest. Our destination was the Stone Circle for yoga with Kirsten (she's a certified yoga instructor!) and snack. We had a fair yoga distraction... We played hide and side and snacked at the stones. On our way back through the forest, we discovered larger than life sculptures. Check out Harvest Preserve's website for information about the sculptures found on and around the property. But wait! There's more...A favorite book in our class is "We're Going On a Bear Hunt" which led to several stuffies making a very odd and unexpected appearance in our nature immersion experience. We ended our day with small group 'stations'. Thank you, children and families, for your patience and flexibility. It was lovely to spend a day discovering and playing in nature together!
