We took advantage of a donation of shoe boxes to create rooms. The artists were inspired by patterned papers, magazine images, and building furniture with cardboard, and each other's creations.. Many of the rooms and houses already have toy residents ready to move in when they get home! "I'm making something that Allie can jump on." - V. "I'm making a jumpy couch. The couch is next to the bed." - F. "It's a house. One of my ponies lives there. This is a bed and this is a bed. These two are tables. These two are bunks. L. helped me with some of this stuff. I made pictures with Sharpie markers." - L "So this is one of my animal's houses. It has only one bed, so only one animal can stay there. These are the stairs up to the bed. This is the chair where you can watch tv. This is also the couch and the bean bag chair. This is my plant. This is my dog bowl. This is the kitchen. Right here is the roof. Right here is the bathroom. Here is the sink, this is the potty, this is the shower, this is the bath. The window has a little spot where you can play. -C.
